Nationally, 1 in 4 men and 1 in 3 women experience domestic abuse in their life. In South Carolina, there are more than 30,000 cases of intimate partner violence reported each year. In Greenville, ten incidents of domestic abuse are reported per day... that's more than any other county in our state.
These statistics never feel normal to us. They never trouble us less. Yet these statistics are not the whole picture, they’re not the end of the story.
At Safe Harbor, we see day in and day out what the word “strong” looks like. We come alongside the grief and pain left from domestic abuse, and we witness strength and endurance.
Join Safe Harbor at the table, an opportunity to hear, learn and be in community with those affected by domestic abuse.
At the Table will feature a community-centric program that spotlights Safe Harbor staff, clients and survivors of domestic abuse, and partners who walk alongside us as we carry out our mission.
Together we can influence a culture where abuse is not tolerated, and all people feel safe and valued in their relationships.
