Advocacy 101: Amplifying Survivor Voices to Disrupt Violence

November 17th 2020 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This workshop is a collaboration between Safe Harbor and the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network (WREN). It is an introductory session that will provide participants with the basic skills and know-how needed to lead successful advocacy efforts with decision-makers. Participants will learn how advocacy is used to influence policy with local and statewide decision-makers, as well as how a survivor's story can become elevated as a call to action. If you are someone who identifies as a survivor, supports survivors, believes a world without violence is possible, wants to make change, a caseworker, and/or a volunteer, this training is for you!
